In order to better serve ABC members (and meet the seemingly endless Federal and
State regulatory requirements), ABC Member Insurance LLC has formed a partnership with commercial liability specialists SGG Insurance Inc ( headquartered in
Farmingdale, NJ) and can now provide liability coverage for wedding and event
planners in most member states.
Commercial liability insurance basically comes in two parts, namely General Liability
and Professional Liability. A firm quote is available based on your business profile,
but current pricing estimates are listed below. While only the policy contains full details,
here is a brief overview of the ABC Member Insurance program currently available in
AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, ME, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NY, NV, OH
(Individual Only), PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI. (Please Note: Underwriter pricing is HIGHER in CALIFORNIA
and TEXAS
General Liability Coverage - (the "physical piece") covers property and equipment, damage,
and bodily injury. For $ 1 million per event / $ 2 million aggregate per year:
Approx. $ 500 - 535 per year listed states (Same for CA and TX this coverage).
Professional Liability Coverage - (the "emotional piece") is your (E&O) errors and
omissions coverage or malpractice insurance, and covers non-performance issues and contract
disputes. Higher coverage limits are also available, but here are the initial pricing levels.
(Please note that CALIFORNIA and TEXAS pricing runs 50 - 60 % higher.)
For $ 250,000 per event with $250,000 aggregate coverage:
Approx $ 801 per year listed states (NOTE: Approx $ 1,283 per year in CA and TX )
For $ 500,000 per event with $500,000 aggregate coverage:
Approx. $1,026 per year listed states (NOTE: Approx $ 1,642 per year in CA and TX)
$1 million per event with $ 1 million aggregate coverage:
Approx $ 1,250 per year listed states (NOTE: Approx. $ 2,000 per year in CA and TX )
$ 1 million per event with $ 2 million aggregate coverage:
Approx $ 1,500 per year listed states (NOTE: Approx. $ 2,333 per year in CA and TX)
